The Grunt family: Chapter 2 - pics 1-5
1.
Back in Strangetown, Tank's father, General Buzz Grunt received a phone call from his friend, the elderly Olive Specter. Olive informed him that a new household had moved in, no less than four single women sharing a house together, and hinted that with three rapidly-maturing sons, he had better check out their intentions. So General Buzz paid them a visit. He was horrified to find that two of the girls were aliens. Ugh!
2.
But General Buzz found himself quite impressed with the decommissioned military bunker that the girls had turned into a home - and particularly with its military-style tidiness. Despite his ingrained hatred of aliens, he found himself warming to Chloe. Something about the way her red hair set off her green skin - and her extreme physical fitness. It had been a while since a woman could keep up with his dancing.

It was something of a shock for Buzz to realise that Chloe found him equally attractive. He thought a young adult of barely 25, would be much more interested in Tank the college student than in his dad. But Chloe made it obvious just how interested in the general she was...

Meanwhile, the remaining two Grunt boys were doing well at school. Freed from the competition with his perfect elder brother, Ripp was achieving A grades for the first time in his life. His perfect younger brother, Buck, was of course getting A+s, but Ripp didn't care. And as Buck had been only too keen to join the Army Cadets, their father had given up trying to "persuade" him.

In fact, their father seemed to be having something of a personality transplant. The new General Buzz smiled, watched cookery programmes on TV, and had even praised Ripp for his promotion to Fast Food Order Taker - possibly the first time he'd ever congratulated his middle son for anything. Plus, he seemed to be getting an awful lot of phone calls from a lady called Chloe Curious.
All in all, the boys were unsurprised when their father called them together to introduce Operation Venus - to meet the aforementioned Ms Curious.
